How the mighty have fallen….
Was tipped as a bit of an outsider for Englands world cup squad in the summer, yet got 10 mins for Cardiff today (Cardiff's bench had a few washed up rejects from us. Morrison, Maynard, Gabbidon)
He really isn't going to amount to much at all is he. To think many fans were calling for us to build a team around him. It was glaringly obvious that although naturally talented he was never going to have the attitude to match the talent.
Get the impression that he wasn't particularly liked by the players/staff as well, what with the gangster attitude and lavish lifestyle.
Wish he'd cracked it with us but not going to happen. Arse of a bloke.
Realistically, what's his level?

i still think he will make it, the penny will drop, not with us, he'll sign long term with an ambitious championship club, and get it together, but maybe not for a few more years. tis a shame .

Just a shame he's a repulsive waste of spunk, who will no doubt realise the talent when it's all too late.

He's hugely talented and the hope has got to be that one day it clicks. Has he got a future with us? Difficult to see it if its true that Allardyce doesn't want him. The way we're playing this season though would suit him and longer term could he be a successor to Downing at the tip of the diamond?
To be fair to him, he's coming back from injury at the moment and that's why he's on the bench at Cardiff at the minute.

it's far from a gloat. Like i say, I'd have loved for him to succeed at us.
Just pointing out that due to his poor attitude he's not going to fulfill his promise.
I think he'll end up playing for a team in theChampionship and show the odd flash of brilliance every now and then. Not consistent enough for a top performer.

Last season a lot if people tried to hold up Morrison as an example of everything that was wrong with Allardyce,
This season both are showing how misguided that was.

Too much media coverage of football and punditry speculation. People tend to read or listen too it and regurgitate it as their own "Thoughts" on the subject. Not living in the uk I'm not exposed to it and can see the ridiculous side of the "Which way the wind is blowing" rumors and stories

You state this as if it was fact.
It's one opinion.
Mine is that he will 'make it' if he wants to.
At any level.
Maybe he's content with his current level? He certainly appears content via his INSTAgram. And he doesn't appear to be a tosser at all.
Probably has autistic traits though, which makes teamwork tricky.
